The Vaisala CARBOCAP® Carbon Dioxide Transmitter Series GMD20 duct-mounted transmitters are specifically designed for demand-controlled ventilation. They are simple to install and require minimal maintenance. The silicon-based Vaisala CARBOCAP® Sensor is used in the GMD20 transmitters. This Single-Beam, Dual-Wavelength NDIR sensor is exceptionally stable and reliable due to its simple structure and reference measurement capabilities. The CO2 concentration is monitored inside the duct, where there is no possibility of leaks or incorrect flow direction interfering with the measurement. Furthermore, dust, water vapour, and most chemicals have little effect on measurement accuracy.
The GMD20 series transmitters can be utilised standalone or as part of a building’s energy management systems. The GMD20 and GMD20D duct mount units are part of the series. Version D includes a display. The compact sensor head design of the duct units fits inside the ventilation duct, minimising the possibility of leaking gaskets and measurement errors.
